Now in its twelfth season, New York Classical Players heads north for its Boston debut at the New England Conservatory’s historic Jordan Hall, featuring the local premiere of James Ra’s triple viola concerto with Jordan Bak, Ramón Carrero-Martínez, and En-Chi Cheng. The program includes a glistening interlude by Rossini, followed by Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin and Cello, featuring Yoojin Jang (violin) and Brannon Cho (cello) in a masterpiece that blends the composer’s masterful symphonic approach with lush virtuosity.
This performance is less than 90 minutes and presented without intermission.
