The 2014-15 season kicks off with Itamar Zorman, top prize winner of the 2011 Tchaikovsky International Violin Competition and a recipient of 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant, as he performs Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with masterfully transcribed for string orchestra accompaniment. The NYCP also introduces Bartok's masterwork, Divertimento for String Orchestra as well as one of the best-loved tunes ever composed, Vocalise by Rachmaninoff.
